No, we're not talking about sex here.
We're talkin' about Robby Roadsteamer. He was at
Angelina's on Saturday night. I didn't make it to the
show. However, he was doing his thing on the trade
floor and I was lucky enough to catch some of that
before he got shut down. I'm not really sure what
the story was with that. I assume he was either too
loud, too vulgar or something like that. Whatever it
was, it doesn't really matter. He did his thing,
made his point, got a few people interested.
Got to talk to him for a few minutes and, by the end of the
conversation, "Cruisin' With The Masters" by Sweatpant Boners.
I gave it a listen when I got home and I was totally floored.
I love stuff like this and, personally, I feel that there's
not enough of it floating around out there. In simple terms,
it's heavy metal comedy. Kind of brings Gwar to mind.
Musicianship??? Yeah, there's some serious metal to
be heard on this release. But, with tunes like "Her
Respectable Holes," "Number 2," "Pee With Your Father"
and "Shower Games," it's not hard to figure out that
there's a bathroom humor vibe is in full swing here.
Their version of "Always A Woman" and "I Will Survive"
are a trip. They pretty much destroyed these songs,
which is a good thing in this case. Best song on here
is "Banana," which is about...well...use your imagination.
Trust me, it's a cool song.
If you have a twisted sense of humor, you'll really
enjoy this album. That's all that really needs to be
said. Check 'em out.
