Spotlight - Adrian Blitzer
I happened to catch an Adrian Blitzer show and I have to say, they were
very entertaining and very energetic. Their eight song CD, "Foaming At The
Mouth," at least for me, didn't quite capture what I saw on stage. I'm not
saying it's a bad album because, really, it's not. I happen to enjoy it.
But, what I heard on disc seemed a bit more, shall we say, mellow. If you
hear the disc first and then you go out to see them, you'll feel like
you're experiencing two different bands.
The production on this release could've been a little better. That's about
my only complaint. There's some good stuff to be found on here though.
"Just Go," "Whipping Boy" and my personal favorite, "Ashes." If I'm not
mistaken, this is their first release and it's not a bad for a first
effort. I'm looking forward to seeing what they do on the next release.
There's a lot of potential here, both in terms of musical ability and stage
performance. If they can blend the two the proper way, they'll come up with
an awesome sound. Keep an eye on these guys and be sure to catch 'em live
when you can.
