Nice Cream and the Creamy Sparkles

Here's a rather interesting release from a band I know nothing about. You're supposed to think there's something like thirty tunes on here when it's actually only two...and the entire running time on the album is under ten minutes.

The musical style...if you wanna call it that...is positive punk noise. Back in the day, there seemed to be a lot of this stuff floating around out there. Someone actually sent me a tape with a "song" that was nothing more than someone with a hand held tape recorder on a rollercoaster. It was something you would listen to once and then you'd record over it or just throw the tape away. At least Nice Cream & The Creamy Sparkles are musical. Sure, it's fast noise punk with scream vocals. But, it's still "musical," and that's the key word here.

This is something the skate kids would be into...well, some of 'em anyway. It's not something I'll listen to every day. Hell, for that matter, I may never listen to it again. But, it's nice to have considering the fact that I collect local music. Ain't got a website address for this one. So, if this is something you feel you need to have, you're gonna have to drop a postcard in the mail to see about getting one.
