We arrived around 7:30 and stood at the top of the stairs knowing that the downstairs was not open yet. Scott of Julian Fist came in the door wearing his adorable khaki fishing hat. He asked us if we had gone down yet, but Melanie said that they had not even tried to go down. Scott proceeded down the flight of stairs and disappeared into Zee’s. Then what do ya know, Kyle appears and comes up to us and tells us we can come down.

Logan, Gwen, and their mom were crossing the parking lot as Melanie followed Kyle down to the empty bar. Shannon and her mom lagged behind, waiting for Logan, Gwen and their mom. Melanie paused at the doors and waited for Shannon to get down the steps before pushing the doors open after Kyle. He told us that no one was really supposed to be down there yet, but if it wasn’t okay that we were there, he said he would get in trouble, not us. (No one got in any trouble:)

We all frolicked in and decided to push 3 tables together towards stage right. That is our favourite spot. Kyle said whenever we were ready we could do the interview. As we got the equipment together, all the Julian Fisters gathered behind us by the stage, then decided to sit on the cushy bench along the wall. It was nice to see Mitch sporting a Negative Space shirt. It's great that bands like Julian Fist and Negative Space can give each other support and get along so well. We came over and Melanie sat at their feet on the floor to do the interview. Troy said something about his chicken fingers getting cold before we began and Kyle said not to pay attention to him. It went about 15 min. long, so we hope their dinners weren’t cold. Unless they ordered a cold plate, then we don’t care. But we don’t care anyway, cause they are the ones that ramble. It’s not that Melanie asks too many questions. Honestly. Aww, we love you guys! Thanks for your time!

All of us under 21 gals obtained our cool hot pink bracelets, which were a bit tight. Circulation in the wrist is a must. We eventually got a pitcher of water and another of Sprite. Gwen and her mother ordered a pizza and shared a slice with Melanie. Thank you! Logan began to feel distraught over the fact that Miss Fortune had not yet arrived. Julian Fist was setting up and Logan felt even more worried when she saw JF set lists on the stage.

Miss Fortune was scheduled to go on at 10 00 and they arrived at 9 30. They quickly set up to go on at 10 30. Ryan of Miss Fortune came up to our group and there were intros made around the table. Once again when Jay came over we went around for introductions. Ryan also gave out MMC5 Compilation CDs to any in our group that wanted one.

Miss Fortune took the stage and we sat on the floor to tape. Logan and Gwen, accompanied by their mom, went to the back of the empty dance floor to take some photos. Well, more than some. They put on a grand show with their new bassist, Andreas. There were difficulties with the bass sound and Troy came over to help Andreas out. Also, the speakers hanging from the ceiling right by our table weren’t emitting any sound. People began to put their hand to the speaker and then get someone else to come over and feel it. Soon guys started to climb up chairs and take it apart. Big Bob of Big Tubba Mista was also there to help them out.

There was a break so Melanie let Shannon know we were going to the lav by shouting across the table to her, “Urination time!” We then skipped off to the lav, well actually Melanie was the only one who did a little skip. When we came back, we purchased Miss Fortune tees and tanks and JF shirts too! (Thank you Brian for the wee discount!)

Julian Fist took the stage and we began to tape, standing this time and moving around a bit. Their show started off with “Rain,” from the soon to be released album “Pushing Audio Platinum.” Brian came up behind us and watched Shannon’s camera screen. Shannon didn’t realize it. When she did, she kinda jumped and Brian just smiled. Some chick began spraying her beer around and we quickly backed away in between the tables. We got it on our clothing and a bit on the microphones. Her friend pulled her back and pointed to us and she apologized. She said something to Brian later about getting beer on us too…she was definitely entertaining!

We talked to Brian during this break after we said good-bye to Logan, Gwen, and their mom. Shannon’s mom had to pee again, so we gathered everything up and it looked like we were leaving. We told Brian and the waitress we would be back. We waited outside the small lav for Shannon’s mom to finish. We didn’t have to pee. Unfortunately, Shannon's mom has the smallest bladder known to man (or woman shall we say) so we have to follow her to the bathroom constantly.

The second set started and Shannon taped from the back of the dance floor, but ended up on a chair taping like we’ve seen the Harrisburg Online guy do. While Shannon was taping, Miss Fortune was cleaning up and Shannon’s mom asked Ryan if they were leaving. He said yup, so we stopped taping during JF’s “Blister in the Sun” cover, and gathered up equipment to tape an interview. Standing by the front desk, Melanie bopped around to the song, waiting for Shannon’s mom to find an outlet for us to use. Some drunk guy going back into the bar saw her and started to dance too, in his spot by the bar door and making eye contact with her. Hah, she turned around a bit and bopped more towards Shannon and the wall. He went inside the bar then. lol!

Upstairs we threw our belongings down and set up to tape. We settled on the bench and Melanie on the floor again. Pressed for time, Melanie had to pick and choose from the questions we had previously chosen. It was done with Ryan Link (guitar and vocals) and Jay Barclay (guitar). Chris Hobbick (drummer) and Andreas Holmstrom (bass) came up and signed Shannon’s CD for her. Shannon was being a wee bit spazzier than usual, and she thinks she frightened the Swedish lad, Andreas by her massive amount of energy that night...

We also took photos with Joy and eventually made our way back down to the stage area. We caught Kyle, Mitch, Scott, and Troy’s last two songs. During one of the songs, Shannon's mom pointed out to us that one of the gals dancing around in front of the stage had a pretty large hole in the arse area of her pleather pants. God forbid people could wear underwear! We really did not need to see that, and we're still wondering why Shannon's mom was looking there to begin with… After Julian Fist ended the show, they signed a photo for us and we got a photo with them all together. How sweet! We’re so loved! lol Thank you guys! We love you all back!
