Are you thirsting for the most aggressive, intense music that the east coast 
has to offer, yet tired of paying corporate prices for admissions, 
outrageous parking fees, and expensive food?  Then you have to check out the 
first annual Malevolent Metal Fest on July 21, 2001. This festival has a 
line up of more than ten all metal bands promising a day of loud, 
aggressive, original music from bands all across Pennsylvania, New York, and 
Ohio.

What makes the Malevolent Metal Fest unique among all the other music 
festivals around the area?  At the MMF, you can do one thing that you are 
not typically allowed to do at other corporate-sponsored events: bring your 
own beer, park your RVs, pack a sleeping bag and tent, bring a grill, and 
grab a spot to set up camp for the weekend at no extra charge! This year the 
MMF will be in Tune Town, just a few minutes outside of Titusville, 
Pennsylvania, on July 21, 2001. Tune Town is an outdoor concert arena 
situated on 60-acres of grounds, with a full-size, fully-covered 
professional sound stage and over 30 acres of concert and camping grounds 
with 20 acres of free parking.

Mushroomhead, from Cleveland, OH, is headlining the Malevolent Metal Fest in 
2001.  They have recently signed to the independent label Eclipse Records 
and are currently on tour to promote their latest release “XX”.   Their 
music is described by the Cleveland Plain Dealer as ‘sophisticated, 
juxtaposing dense, staccato, Ministry-inspired tempos with spacious melodic 
passages and dark lyrics that don't merely rely on repeated swear words.’ 
Even though Mushroomhead’s music stands on its own, in order to fully 
appreciate this rising group, they have to be experienced live. Their 
vaudevillian stage show is not easily described in words.

Also on stage this year, and the band responsible for organizing the 
Malevolent Metal Fest, is Dragon Fire, from Altoona, Pennsylvania. Snarling 
apocalyptic lyrics about deceit, corruption and a world-gone-to-hell, they 
attack each song with uncompromising precision and aggression, savage and 
relentless beyond emotional control. At a Dragon Fire show, fans know they 
will experience metal at its best.  In November 2000, Dragon Fire’s song 
“Cutting Dead Weight” was voted number one on Farmclub.com by thousands of 
fans across the globe, giving them the opportunity to be heard by millions 
of music fans and dozens of record companies and producers across the 
nation.

This is your chance to get away and enjoy a weekend full of good music and 
partying without having to worry about driving. Just set up camp. Pay in 
advance and you can set up camp before the show and reserve a great spot for 
the weekend! Bring your tent, trailer, motor home, or motorcycle, and enjoy 
a great weekend of great music in the great outdoors!
