The Mayan Factor

The Upwelling - The Upwelling's music references the raw energy of The Police, the synthetic textures of Depeche Mode, and the vastness of Pink Floyd. Based out of Brooklyn, the trio is touring the northeast with a new E.P. Big Hit at MMC8, playing Dewey tomorrow.
July For Kings - July For Kings understands the value and virtues of small-town America, writing and singing about them – and more – with uncommon passion. After two indie CDs, several years of constant touring, and the fall 2002 release of their MCA debut album SWIM, July For Kings have earned national success. Their debut single, “Normal Life” generated consistent airplay at several hundred radio stations across the nation, including WMBZ in Memphis, KZON in Phoenix, and WKRQ in Cincinnati. The single reached #1 on the Las Vegas radio station Mix 94.1’s Most Requested List, hanging out in the top five for months. In support of their growing success, July For Kings were selected to be a part of the “You Saw It First” national college tour. In addition, July For Kings has embarked on countless club tours and college dates in the Midwest and beyond. From Cincinnati, playing Dewey tomorrow.
The Mayan Factor - Competently constructing a dreamy soundscape of variable textures, tempos and emotions, and then packaging them all together as intricately layered prog-rock, The Mayan Factor's "In Lake 'Ch" is a true indie gem. Catering to the darker senses of progressive melancholy ala Tool and dredg, while also harboring a distinct modern rock flair, this MD based outfit have a seemingly limitless appeal to their sound. As such their music is more than capable of enlisting a variety of different listeners within their fan base, especially those who would not often stand side by side. A big hit at MMC8, playing Dewey tomorrow.

The New Regency Five

Psycho A-Go-Go!!! - Psycho A-Go-Go!!! mixes rock and roll, garage, punk pop and psych to create their own brand of frenzied actions and furious sounds that can only be described as "orange with purple flashes" Psycho A-Go-Go!!!, now more than ever...
Mondo Topless - Since Halloween night in 1992, Mondo Topless has been serving audiences a tasty concoction of fuzzy-spicy guitar, bubbly-thumpy bass, and crunchy drums, all topped with a thick cheesy organ sauce. It’s a simple concept, really: “Rock n’ Roll is more about primal energy and erotic tension than deep meaning and introspection,” says Sam Steinig, singer and organ grinder. This is also a clever way of avoiding people trying to figure out the lyrics. To further convey his music philosophy, Sam turned to Russ Meyer’s classic 1968 travelogue for the name of the band. Thus, armed with his third-hand Vox Continental organ, he took it upon himself to enrich the world with some really loud, fast and stupid rock n’ roll. Stirred and heated to boiling, and you’ve got some damn fine song stylings, capable of inducing shaking, jumping and other irrational acts. The influences are easy to identify: The Sonics, The Stooges, The Kinks, The Lyres, The Cramps, The Cynics, and that woman who plays the between-inning music at your local minorleague ballpark (provided she’s had a couple of pops).
The New Regency Five - Rocking 5-piece surf band from Lancaster PA. Surf Instru"Mental" music for the masses.

New Invisible Joy

Bridges And A Bottle - In a time when most bar owners are struggling to get even 100 people to show up for a truly “all original band”, a true shining star has finally arrived. Exploding out of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and adding an exciting new sound to the music scene is an incredibly hot new band by the name of Bridges and a Bottle, also known as BAAB. Bridges and a Bottle is what resulted when six close friends combined their musical talents in the Summer of 2003. The members are inspired by groups like the Beatles and Coldplay. At the core of the band are the two lead singers and brothers: Justin Smith, 24, and Adam Smith, 20. The songs written and sung by Justin reveal a sound similar to Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam. Adam’s songs are reminiscent of Nirvana and Oasis. The brother’s vocals are the same in that they convey deep, raw emotion. Both singers pull their lyrics from life, but whereas one leaves certain topics up for interpretation, the other paints a vivid visual of the situation. The differences and similarities of the band members combine to form the eclectic sound of Bridges and a Bottle.
New Invisible Joy - Named Pittsburgh’s Best Local Unsigned Band by Citysearch.com; New Invisible Joy has opened for several national acts and artists including: John Mayer, The Strokes, 30 Seconds to Mars, The Exies, The Calling, Flickerstick, Audiovent, Filter, Dave Navarro, and Hoobastank.
