Parallax Project

Gullifty's Downstairs
Alan Pollard

Parallax Project - The nucleus of Parallax Project is Michael Giblin. If you're into obscure independent pop music, then you may have heard of him, but probably not. As a bassist, he's played on a bunch of albums for a number of "should have been famous" bands and artists, including Cherry Twister, Steve Ward, and Jeffrey Gaines. Parallax Project is, however, a horse of a different color. The music itself is eclectic, yet rooted in the melodic, arrangement -driven pop that has helped make so many worthy artists nearly famous. The record's musical styles move from Who-like blasts of mod-pop, through the intricate jangle of a Byrdsian 12-string, all the way to the pastoral roots-pop of The Band. Sprinkled throughout are delicate harmonies and keen observations on lives that are colliding, expanding, and falling apart, with the unifying elements being Michael's inviting voice and his distinctive perspective as a songwriter. Quality power-pop in the vein of Cherry Twister. Parallax Project plays IPO frequently.
Alan Pollard - Today, Alan has become a part of PeachFuzz Records. The Record label started to promote singers and songwriters that have the ability to touch hearts with excellent music and lyrics. When the company heard Alan's music, they knew immediately that he was the type of artist they wanted to promote. Alan signed on and continues to write songs that cannot be denied while PeachFuzz is helping to reintroduce honest music back into mainstream society.

The Suburban Sound - The Suburban Sound brings back the old school sound of rock. Blending classic rock influences with a modern sound, the band can only be classified by one genre. Rock and roll. For fans of true rock only. Except no substitutes.
Cowalker - in the spring of 2003, four friends (andy, james, jason and tucker) decided to form a band. they had all been in bands, they had all been in bands with each other, they had all been in bands with people that were in each others' bands but, like most bands, they all fell apart. "this band will be different from our last bands," they said, "we have a drum machine now." the wheels were turning. records were purchased. somewhere along the way, a keyboard was purchased. after playing in a reunion show for one of tucker's old bands, said band's guitar player patrick was added to the group. so now, guitars, drums, combo amps, effects processors, drum machines and synthesizers in hand, the five guys in the band are fully prepared to hand your ass to you on a silver platter.

Fith

Downside

Fith - Formed in June of 2002, fith has been packing venues on both Harrisburg’s East and West shores, playing Modern rock original and cover material since their August debut as a headline act. The response has been so great that Elephant & Castle Pub, Holiday Inn New Cumberland, used the band’s single Sun2Set for its late October 2003 radio advertising on 93.5 FM WTPA and guitarist Rob for the voice over. With a massive and loyal following, the band looks to make a huge splash throughout Central Pa and beyond in 2004.

Von Stella

Condition K - Central Pa's modern rock foursome, Condition K, provide a brilliant combination of contemplative lyrics, captivating vocals and unmatched musicianship. Founded in 2003, Condition K was assembled by members of some of Pennsylvania's most influential bands (Julian Fist, 3Star, Stereo Logic). The band made an immediate impact and quickly became a force in today's Mid-Atlantic rock scene. The band's main influences range from classic rock bands such as The Doors and Led Zeppelin to the modern rock sounds of bands such as Stone Temple Pilots and Fuel.
Rotoglow - A Gullifty's favorite and a "scene" favorite, Rotoglow's music is tough to characterize. An extremely tight live band, with exceptional command, their music could fit on Alternative/Modern Rock/Active Rock stations. Passionate and Firey, Retro yet Futuristic. Haven't seen em here for a while, since last November 1.
Von Stella - A young Baltimore-area band, playing their 4th gig.

Or you can let Grantham Road, the band, take you on a journey through a musical landscape springing out of the Central Pennsylvania hills & valleys. The original rock songs of Grantham Road explore ideas such as the passages of life, dreams & aspirations, relationships and the realities of daily life in a positive yet searching spirit.
