Parallax Project

Gullifty's
The Jellybricks

Pawnshop Roses

Parallax Project - The nucleus of Parallax Project is Michael Giblin. If you're into obscure independent pop music, then you may have heard of him, but probably not. As a bassist, he's played on a bunch of albums for a number of "should have been famous" bands and artists, including Cherry Twister, Steve Ward, and Jeffrey Gaines. Parallax Project is, however, a horse of a different color. The music itself is eclectic, yet rooted in the melodic, arrangement -driven pop that has helped make so many worthy artists nearly famous. The record's musical styles move from Who-like blasts of mod-pop, through the intricate jangle of a Byrdsian 12-string, all the way to the pastoral roots-pop of The Band. Sprinkled throughout are delicate harmonies and keen observations on lives that are colliding, expanding, and falling apart, with the unifying elements being Michael's inviting voice and his distinctive perspective as a songwriter. Quality power-pop in the vein of Cherry Twister. Parallax Project plays IPO frequently.
The Jellybricks - Longtime heroes of the Harrisburg Power-Pop scene, The Jellybricks have a long list of accomplishments, including opening for Live at Hershey Stadium, multiple performances in Los Angeles at International Pop Overthrow and opening slots for Goo Goo Dolls, 10,000 Maniacs, Seven Mary Three, Sponge, Fuel, Luscious Jackson, Better Than Ezra, The Badlees, They Might Be Giants. Quality.
Pawnshop Roses - Pawnshop Roses write and mix various genres of music but always end up back with rock and roll. Paul writes most of the songs and he comes from a singer-songwriter background. In his music you can hear the Stones, Dylan, The Beatles and Humble Pie. Most of the guys have a solid blues rock background which is evident in their playing but they are by no means limited to the blues. They combine soul, Saturday night guitars, melody, harmonies, storytelling and grooves, wrapping it up nicely in one package.

Kheris

Kingsfoil - A Pennsylvania based rock quartet with a focus on songwriting, arrangements, and energetic live performances. In the fall of 2002 we released our first full album "Thoughts on the Floor" and in September of 2004 we released our second full album titled "Blueprints" It contains thirteen original songs and is available at: www.cdbaby.com and www.amazon.com. And in August of 2005 we released an original five song acoustic ep "the almond tree ep" also available at: www.cdbaby.com and www.amazon.com.
The Glorious Filaments - Headed up by primary songwriter, JP, the band focuses on incubating his infectious musical kernels into inspired, funktastic, smoldering sonic struts. Drawing on an array of influences ranging from rock, pop, jazz, funk, & reggae their music is both classy & classic.
Hot Vegas - Indie Pop Rock from Charlotte North Carolina.
Kheris - There is still good left in this world, and in the realm of Rock. We are a tribute to the redemption of love, triumph over evil, and the tranquility after the storm of hardship. We aim to craft music with energy and depth of emotion that has seemingly left the airwaves. Rock is alive underground. We are digging in the trenches with the other unkown soldiers. Some may call it accident, others fate, but we believe that God brought us together. Steve and Keith were first introduced 26 years ago when Keith was born. Naturally, growing up together under the same roof, they have mutually influenced each other in a monumental way. Rob met Steve at a Jove show and was uplifted that rock was still alive and it was local. Months later, after a chance meeting at Shanks tavern where Rob helps host a blues jam, it was realized that he could possibly be the bassplayer for the two guitar-slinging singers. In a search for a drummer, and to have a good time, they happened apon Aaron at a thursday night open-mic jam at the Alley Kat. His nonconventional style and zeal made him the latest addition to the group.

The X's

Julian Fist

Running From Dharma

The X's - The X's are Brett Scallions of Fuel, Chris Goercke, John Law and Mike Maenza.
This group of musicians has combined their talents to form a volatile mixture of stadium power rock and underground streetwise. The result is an electrifying sound of freedom and originality.
On lead guitar, Chris paints each song with minimal bursts or progressive lambaste, always wary of what each song requires, nothing more nothing less. His guitar prowess is matched by few.
John brings his love of opposites with both his lyrical vocals and rhythm guitar. Pop and clean, punk and dirty, never satisfied with one sentiment.
Brett lays downs bass lines that follow the melodies like an electric shadow. Famous for his lead singing prowess, Brett's back-up vocals are tasteful and smooth with an occasional burst of angry snarl.
Finally, Mike Maenza fills in the rhythm with both the fury of a caged animal and the calm and grace of its freedom.

Julian Fist - After four years out of the spotlight, Julian Fist singer Mitch Taylor has a message for the masses. The rebirth of Julian Fist is upon us, so you better be ready. New shows, new songs and at long last a new album. This will be the Pennsylvania rockers first studio album since 2001s Pushing Audio Platinum.
Running From Dharma - a rock band from Harrisburg, PA. Travels frequently. Profits never. Love every minute of it. Thanks for noticing.

Their following, (mostly girls) are showing up in force wherever they play, providing another exciting dimension to Mustang's stage show. The Underwater

The Masquerade

The Underwater - Absolutely fantastic band from York/Harrisburg, PA. Compared to Muse, The Juliana Theory, Placebo, Cave-In, Foo Fighters, Filter, Hoobastank, Thrice. Emotional, melodic guitar rock. "THE UNDERWATER could easily become one of rock's brightest stars as "Bleed Me Blue" contains some exceptional moments." Smother.net Yup, they should be huge, massive.
Holis - Formed in 2002, by singer Raymond Zeiters and guitarist Frank Mistretta. The two wrote music and performed at small venues. After several attempts at finding a second guitarist, they set their sights on keyboardist Christian McGinty. After a brief hiatus, the three recorded an acoustic demo with producer Fred Pellegrini. They are now in the studio with the full band, including drummer Kenny Reiner and recent bassist Jeremy White. Also featured is Fred Pellegrini. Holis will be playing few select shows while they finish recording their debut album. Release date is scheduled for Spring '06.
The Masquerade - The Masquerade is a four piece project out of Harrisburg, PA. The lineup is Ducky Duke on vocals and guitar, Leo Nessinger on lead guitar, Dan Lucas on bass, and The RJ on drums. Just freshly put together in the summer of 2006 the band has combined influences ranging from hardcore, rock, emo, indie, pop, and jazz to come up with sound thats versatile and fresh and a set of songs that are real and true and document the emotions, imaginations, and events that have inspired the project. Some of the songs are years old already as Dan and Leo had been playing together prior in previous bands then adding Ducky and RJ to complete the job.
