Bo Bim

Hierosonic - This hybrid rock outfit formed in November of 2002 and based out of Harrisburg, PA is Ben Stewart- singer/ songwriter, Jarred Cannon- guitar, Brandon Krotser- synthesizer/ backing vocal, Mike Stang- bass guitar, Mark Bohn- drums. Hierosonic’s music can be described as hard rock with electronic and ambient atmosphere. Their combination of cadence and creative lyrics is displayed in their live performances and captured on their albums with amazing precision and artistic vision. In the summer of 2003, Street Wise Promotions produced a Battle of the Bands competition that consisted of over 400 bands across the country in which Hierosonic won first place by receiving the most votes by listeners.
Fluttr Effect - "Disclaimer: Fluttr Effect's music is equal parts dense and sparse, exciting, sophisticated, dynamic, and not intended for those with severe dizziness, a history of mental illness, a closed mind, or heart problems." - Andres Wilson - Boston Live Magazine "a style that can move from a jazzy weave to metal crescendo to a Middle Eastern modality in a heartbeat, with lyrics that run from seductive to mysteriously abstract....mind-blowing!" Steve Morse - Boston Globe
Bo Bim - An amazing new indie/rock/garage band. They site The Ramones, Dandy Warhols, Queens of the Stone Age, John Frusciante, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Sleater-Kinney, Bob Dylan, Weezer, The Beatles, Iggy Pop and the Stooges, The Pixies, Television, Tears for Fears, Refused as influences. I hear a little Mudhoney, a little Velvet Monkeys / Don Fleming vocals in one of the songs. Really great stuff. They're taking off like a rocket right now. "a band with buzz ... Bo Bim clearly has insight bordering on the visionary there." - John Train, PA Musician, March 2005. "Bo Bim plays hopscotch across a laundry list of rock influences, taking leaps and bounds that sometimes land in polished alt-rock and other times in the low-fi indie realm. The band’s debut album, Go. Get. Got., to be released this summer, boasts 15 dynamic tracks that romp about with ribald rock curiosity." - Fly Magazine

Lotus Blue - Sounds Like Jimmy Eat World, Filter... sounds like no-one really, different but very cool. With ex Mad Revere and Rats from the Bay. Revere in the house.
Whisper - Nearly twelve years ago, an adolescent Anthony Reigle picked up his first guitar. After months of chord progressions, lyrical experimentation, and finding his voice, one of Anthony's most personal songs, "Orphan" was born in an effort to create something positive out of a troubled childhood. Anthony was introduced to bassist Jason Gruber through a friend of his manager in 2004 and they began adapting his acoustic work to fit a full band. Shortly thereafter they added the influence of drummer Dustin Lawrence, and Whisper was born. "They became very interested in my music and decided they wanted to be a part of it," Anthony says of the band's inception. "It's amazing how well we meshed. It's not like I was out there trying to put a band together... it just sort of... happened." Anthony had all but decided to stick to a solo career, but the chemistry of the trio was too good to pass up. Whisper is now putting the finishing touches on a demo, and recording their debut album after being on hiatus for a few months for the holidays and the birth of Anthony's son, Kieran. The album is mix of older songs written by Anthony such as "Orphan" and "Outside the Door" and his newest material, including "Transformation" and "Underneath the Moon."

Silvertide - 10 Reasons You Should Not Miss Silvertide
1. They were asked to open for Aerosmith in Philly when they were still in high school!
2. Have toured with Van Halen, Velvet Revolver, Kid Rock, Godsmack and Alice Cooper and this fall will tour with Motley Crue.
3. You have never seen a front man as crazy as Walt Lafty!
4. Sammy Hagar said "Silvertide is the best new band we've seen in over a decade!"
5. Philadelphia Magazine said "If Steven Tyler and Aerosmith sipped from the Fountain of Youth, this is what they'd sound like as 20-year-olds!"
6. You have to see Nick Perri's furious guitar playing! He is unbelievable! You will be amazed!
7. Slash has said, "Silvertide is a simply great down-toearth rock and roll band with tons of energy, hooks and charisma to burn!"
8. These boys are just turning 20!
9. England's Metal Hammer Magazine summed them up perfectly. "There are 4 ingredients involved in Silvertide: those being their Led Zeppelin swagger, Black Crowes grooves, and a touch of Aerosmith sleaze, all fueled by Guns and Roses attitude! You want rock and roll like it used to be? These are your guys!"
10. I have seen them play in arenas, but Silvertide belongs in a little bar like SOHO on a beer-soaked Saturday night! Don't miss the fun!

The band's main influences range from classic rock bands such as The Doors and Led Zeppelin to the modern rock sounds of bands such as Stone Temple Pilots and Fuel.
Movies With Heroes - Hailing from Lancaster, PA, Movies With Heroes writes amazingly beautiful heartfelt, driving music with pop sensibilities. "Movies With Heroes is a four-piece indie rock band from Lancaster, PA. The band has performed its unique brand of melodic, emotional indie rock at clubs and colleges throughout the US as well as at several major music festivals including Toronto's NXNE, Philadelphia's PMC, and the Cornerstone Festival in IL." - AnonymousBands.com MWH has shared the stage with many bands including the Promise Ring, Dashboard Confessional, Burning Airlines, Pedro the Lion, Cursive and Rainer Maria.

Slaughterhouse Blues - "Slaughterhouse Blues, out of Harrisburg, PA, concentrates on meat-and-potatoes grooves on their self-titled disc - rock ("I Don't Know"), shuffles ("The Redder You Are"), and dangerous West Side blues ("Money"), with a stop-temp tune ("Combover Blues"), a Latin arrangement ("Might Not Be the Blues"), and funk ("Right Back in the Blues") added for interest. Tony Formica's vocals are hearty, Jason Suter's guitar work keeps the three piece sound solid (check the seamless shifts on "Baby, Baby, Baby"), and the rhythm section rocks. Perfect for a club band." - Blues Revue Magazine December/January 2005

Settle - Comprised of four musicians, several stringed instruments, a couple of synths, some drums, a practice space and raw natural talent is where settle has molded a unique sound that's danceable, fun, heartfelt, energetic and rich with passion and motion. If it's not the vocal strength exhibited almost effortlessly from singer/keyboard/bass player Mike Pizarro that initially draws you into the groups pulsating sonic aura, then perhaps it's Dave Goletz's eloquent guitar crunch or his tight pants.

The Green Onions - There is a fresh, yet somewhat familiar sound soaring through the cow-filled pastures of Lancaster County. It is the sound of The Green Onions. In these times of flashy musicians, gimmick-based songwriting, and the all too common, "I hate my life," rock bands, The Green Onions are offering an alternative. This band wants to create music for the sake of creating music. Be prepared for hard rocking guitar solos, sturdy song sections, and free-flowing jams.

Farewell Flight - An indie-rock four piece from Harrisburg, PA chasing a dream: To bring good music to popular culture. Songs that have musical and lyrical depth, yet can be appreciated by all. To make the radio worth listening to. Also, to take over the whole world. We've been compared to: Coldplay/Death Cab For Cutie/Jimmy Eat World/Brand New.
Darcie Miner - Influential Philadelphia station WXPN named Darcie one of its Artists to Watch in 2003. Darcie and her band made history by performing on MTV’s Advance Warning as the first unsigned act ever to play in prime-time on the channel. Darcie also made an appearance on the new Star Search, hosted by Arsenio Hall, where she finished second in a controversial decision. The Darcie Miner Band logged in a hectic touring schedule which saw them build a strong regional following along the Atlantic seaboard, opening for the likes of Edwin McCain, Patty Griffin, Heart, Richard Thompson, Jeffrey Gaines, Wyclef Jean, Beth Hart and Jeffrey Gaines. Wayne Supergenius

Parallax Project - The nucleus of Parallax Project is Michael Giblin. If you're into obscure independent pop music, then you may have heard of him, but probably not. As a bassist, he's played on a bunch of albums for a number of "should have been famous" bands and artists, including Cherry Twister, Steve Ward, and Jeffrey Gaines. Parallax Project is, however, a horse of a different color. The music itself is eclectic, yet rooted in the melodic, arrangement -driven pop that has helped make so many worthy artists nearly famous. The record's musical styles move from Who-like blasts of mod-pop, through the intricate jangle of a Byrdsian 12-string, all the way to the pastoral roots-pop of The Band. Sprinkled throughout are delicate harmonies and keen observations on lives that are colliding, expanding, and falling apart, with the unifying elements being Michael's inviting voice and his distinctive perspective as a songwriter. Quality power-pop in the vein of Cherry Twister. Parallax Project plays IPO frequently.
Pawnshop Roses - Pawnshop Roses write and mix various genres of music but always end up back with rock and roll. Paul writes most of the songs and he comes from a singer-songwriter background. In his music you can hear the Stones, Dylan, The Beatles and Humble Pie. Most of the guys have a solid blues rock background which is evident in their playing but they are by no means limited to the blues. They combine soul, Saturday night guitars, melody, harmonies, storytelling and grooves, wrapping it up nicely in one package.
Wayne Supergenius - Wayne Supergenius writes the old fashioned kind of song. The big hook, the unforgettable melody, the crafted solo that many who have been sucked into the dreary world of the image conscious have missed. Or to quote Peter Bothum of Rockpile magazine: "With such a true-blue batch of solid rock songs, timing is irrelevant."

Rectifier

Rectifier - Vocalist Mitch Taylor, guitarist Scott Michajluk, bassist Troy Lehman, (all 3 ex Julian Fist) and drummer Tony Kirchner deliver the goods with power, passion and purity. This is a musical feast that rises above the cookie-cutter rockers that pollute today’s mainstream. “We are all about the song,” says Michajluk. “ We don’t care about the flavor of the week. It’s all about writing good music that touches anyone who hears our album or sees a live performance. We’re not necessarily different and we are not trying to recreate the wheel, just shake it up a bit.”
