Settle (9:30)

Ghost in the System(10:30)

Settle - Comprised of four musicians, several stringed instruments, a couple of synths, some drums, a practice space and raw natural talent is where settle has molded a unique sound that's danceable, fun, heartfelt, energetic and rich with passion and motion. If it's not the vocal strength exhibited almost effortlessly from singer/keyboard/bass player Mike Pizarro that initially draws you into the groups pulsating sonic aura, then perhaps it's Dave Goletz's eloquent guitar crunch or his tight pants. But if you're ears aren't satisfied with vocal power or gritty guitars, then maybe you should focus in on what the Rose's are doing. Willie Rose (drums/percussion) beats the drums with a quiet confidence, breezing through difficult transitions like it was an elementary school exercise. Or maybe it's his older brother Nick Rose (Guitar/Synths/Bass/Backing Vocals) who will tantalize you're eardrums with his frantic guitar playing, distorted synth pops and hisses and witty on-stage banter.
Ghost in the System - Gabby's band. This is their 1st official show. I believe there's a violin? First shows are usually well attended, fun. The likelihood that a member of Muse will be in the house tonight is very small. The likelihood that a member of Muse will see this band at some point in time is decent.

Dead 50s - "The Dead 50's is an original punk rock ensemble from central Pennsylvania who is not out to win a Grammy, rather to have a good time and influence the young adult audience to do the same and appreciate who they are while still being aware of the issues surrounding them. The fans keep the Dead 50's coming back, not some insincere intention like making a million dollars for getting up on stage and drinking cheap beer. They have fame without being plastered across the pop charts, which is obvious when you witness an army of kids circling the room and shouting along with the band accompanied by the more hesitant fans inching closer to the stage while rocking their heads to the music. The Dead 50's keep coming back to Reading and the fans keep championing their music because it comes down to one simple fact-you don't memorize the songs of a band you don't love." Anne Hunsicker-The Keystone News
Bigfoot & The Fully Automatics - "The feel of the music reminded me of the Ramones. There is definitley an element of Punk in Bigfoot & The Fully Automatics" "Their tone as a band was thick yet defined" "Gearheads" ............Tony Papa - Talk of the town - Toledo, Ohio "True Samurai Rock...... Proud, Dignified and Forceful" ............Yuki Koshimo - Monster Momma Zine - Nashville, TN

Girls Night Out

Sweet Pea Felty & The Chick Peas - From Harrisburg, PA, Sweet Pea Felty is on a mission to bring back the fun and excitement in music. Let the kids have their fluff. This band plays real rock music for grown-ups. Straight ahead, hard driving, rootsy, bluesy, rock and roll. Mr. Sweet Pea himself, aka Jeff Feltenberger, is a skilled musician and performer who has spent a great deal of time recording and touring nationwide. Much of his experience was gained as guitarist, vocalist, songwriter and co-producer with The Badlees, a band that at the height of their popularity scored two top 5 national rock radio tracks. Jeff’s association with The Badlees ended in March 2004.
Grantham Road - Grantham Road is a place in central PA where Flint Zeigler lived for a while… you can get in your car and drive there…. Or you can let Grantham Road, the band, take you on a journey through a musical landscape springing out of the Central Pennsylvania hills & valleys. Slaughterhouse Blues

Slaughterhouse Blues - "Slaughterhouse Blues, out of Harrisburg, PA, concentrates on meat-and-potatoes grooves on their self-titled disc - rock ("I Don't Know"), shuffles ("The Redder You Are"), and dangerous West Side blues ("Money"), with a stop-temp tune ("Combover Blues"), a Latin arrangement ("Might Not Be the Blues"), and funk ("Right Back in the Blues") added for interest. Tony Formica's vocals are hearty, Jason Suter's guitar work keeps the three piece sound solid (check the seamless shifts on "Baby, Baby, Baby"), and the rhythm section rocks. Perfect for a club band." - Blues Revue Magazine December/January 2005

Julia Othmer (10:30)

K8 - Emerging out of the Wilkes-Barre ,PA music scene, k8 (pronounced “Kate”) is a breath of fresh air that today’s music has been desperately seeking. Combining acoustic rock and folk with elements of pop, this singer/songwriter has the ability to evoke a deep set of emotions and simultaneously provide uniquely upbeat music. Her songs consist of a bittersweet mixture of poignant lyrics and a powerful, expressive voice that truly conveys the range of emotions in her songs. With her debut EP, Something Out of Nothing , k8 is ready to break all barriers and prove her worth as an immensely talented musician.
Julia Othmer - An "intoxicating talent," Julia Othmer rocks and undulates behind the piano. She croons, moans, whispers, and laughs into the microphone. Taunting and tormenting, she delivers an intimate, magnetic and fiery-passionate performance. Julia was most recently nominated at the Philly Music Awards for "Best Female Entertainer," "Best Female Vocalist," and "Best Keyboardist." Julia has garnered a fast-growing fan base from performances at Philadelphia's World Cafe Live, the Tin Angel, the Point and Grape Street Philadelphia, as well as New York City's Cutting Room and Fez Under Time Cafe. She has shared the stage with a range of artists including Regina Spektor, eastmountainsouth, John Flynn, Rich Price, and jazz greats Bobby Watson and Ida McBeth.

Maria Forgotten - From their inception in 2002 as an acoustic rock duo to the current incarnation, Maria Forgotten has turned heads all along the road. Soaring vocals and effortless guitar work layer smoothly over solid rhythms and punching bass lines. Without being too cliche, the songs of Maria Forgotten stike a chord with their listeners. "We write what we know," says vocalist Ryan Gottshall. "We just want to be honest about what we have, and are, going through in our lives." Guitarist Andrew Shank: "It's about anger and resentment, desire and happiness. It's about everything everyone goes through."

Wayne Supergenius

No Show Ponies - No Show Ponies is an exciting rock n roll band from Harrisburg PA. The band was originally formed as an acoustic duo by brothers Jeff and Ben Brown while they were living in Morgantown, West Virginia. Originally including the rhythm section of Jason and Jordan Shover, the band now features drummer Jason Jones, guitarist Greg Koons, and recently added member bassist Dan Ruscito.
Wayne Supergenius - Wayne Supergenius writes the old fashioned kind of song. The big hook, the unforgettable melody, the crafted solo that many who have been sucked into the dreary world of the image conscious have missed. Or to quote Peter Bothum of Rockpile magazine: "With such a true-blue batch of solid rock songs, timing is irrelevant."

Butch Walker - THE BIO of....ME (from butchwalker.com) When I was growing up, it was all about metal... When I wanted to go see AC/DC with my friends, my mother (who I love dearly) said "you can't go see AC/DC in concert! The devil dances on stage with them every night!" I said,"AWESOME!" I was hooked on hard rock ever since. While i was still a kid, I left Cartersville, Ga. with my clubbing cash, moved to LA and took my band with me. We were signed to a major label record deal 10 months later, making a record with a hot producer, and a video with the guy who did all those dumb Aerosmith videos, we were unstoppable, until we were, um... stoppable. I ended up ditching the whole concept and went DIY that's "do it yourself" for all of you freshmen, yo. I can see the cock rock rehab program slogan now; "This program Will Take You From 'Firehouse' To FireHOSE in 90 Days," or "Down With Winger... Up With Weezer!" I put THE MARVELOUS 3 (R.I.P.) together, and within a year of playing a few sold out shows around the southeast (and a lot of empty ones too,) 99X, a big station in Atlanta started playing a song of ours (on our indie release) called "Freak of the Week" on their station. (The song was ironically about coming to terms with selling out... funny.) It blew up. I broke up the band, cut all my ties, had one hell of a nervous breakdown, and went UG in the 2K for a while (that's "underground" in 2000..dawg...). I was doing fine, living off of my pension from the big hit song, and i started getting asked to write and produce with other groups around the country. some of these went on to have bigger hits and sales than i did. After that my ego was too big to sit in a studio, so I made my own record. I recorded about 45 songs, which I mostly hated, but managed to find a few that I liked. I signed a record deal, the record (which I wrote, performed, recorded and produced) was called LEFT OF SELF CENTERED... It sold 5 copies I think.. let's cut to now.. i just finished work on my new record called "Letters" (droppin' in the 08/2004 on Epic records.. Peace out, one love, yada...). The first single and video is for a song called "Mixtape." a live acoustic cd from the last US tour, and a live DVD is in the works from it as well. lots of cool shit. Oh, I guess I should mention (to create a "story"), that I just produced and co-wrote for a bunch of people you may or may not like... Avril Lavigne Simple Plan Midtown Sevendust American HiFi The Donnas .... Pretty cool people and all worked with me because of my drinking skills. Hell yeah! It's true! I like song writing. I like recording songs. I like performing them. I like doing it. I will always do it. So if you like my shit, I will keep putting it out... that last part actually sounds sort of gross. see ya later, butch walker
The Fags - John Speck - singer/guitarist, Tim Patalan - bass, Jimmy Paluzzi - drums. We're a rock&roll power-pop trio from Detroit. We formed in 2001, released a five-song EP on Idol records in 2002. Our influences are namely classic pop/rock/punk from the 60's, 70's and 80's- good, bad & what have you. Our debut full-length will be out on Sire records in 2005. RIYL: Cheap Trick, Elvis Costello, The Cars, The Replacements, Joe Jackson, The Romantics, Slade, Sweet, Boston, Journey, Def Leppard, The Darkness, Missing Persons, The Jam, The Paybacks, etc...
Low Millions - Who are the Low Millions? A simple question – with a couple different answers. First, they are the band responsible for the eleven hook-laden tracks on their Manhattan Records debut, Ex-Girlfriends. But the Low Millions also represent that rarest of social entities: A successful "open" relationship. Adam Cohen, informal ringleader of the band, notes that all the seasoned players involved in the Low Millions have passed in and out of each others' orbits for many years. And if a member gets poached by another artist – as often happens with individuals of this caliber – the others don't worry; the stray always hurries home to play with the Low Millions again.

Like The Stooges, Tom Petty, and The Replacements before them, The Frauds combine aggressive guitars, honest lyrics, and heartfelt vocals - along with a lot of beer - to create original songs that are damn good.
