A Utopian Skyline

Sanction

A Utopian Skyline - "A Utopian Skyline is freaking awesome. They’re a metal band for people who don’t like metal; a hardcore band for people who are scared of hardcore; and a prog-rock band for people who would rather drink toilet water than listen to Rush. They are proof that art, angst and amplification are not mutually exclusive concepts. ... Labeling A Utopian Skyline is kind of futile. The band skips around from math-rock rhythms to hardcore grooves to unapologetic metal riffage with such blinding speed that any label you slap on them - “prog-rock,” “emo,” “metal” - will only apply for about 30 seconds." Jeff Royer - Fly Magazine
Sanction - From Los Angeles, currently on tour, sounds like Stabbing Westward minus the electronics, the dark vibe of A Perfect Circle and Alice in Chains (musically), a touch of Apex Theory and the massive grooves of the Deftones and Chevelle.

Wayne Supergenius

Grantham Road - There actually is a street named Grantham Road . It’s in Mechanicsburg , PA where singer/guitarist/songwriter Flint Zeigler spent many summers listening to the music of Neil Young, Tom Petty and Blue Rodeo. Throw in some other diverse influences from Nirvana to Son Volt to Hank Williams, and you get an idea of where this band is coming from - rootsy rock from a singer/songwriter perspective, but with less twang and a bit more production. The new album, Parade , was produced by Jeff Feltenberger (x- Badlees) and is available now.
Wayne Supergenius - Wayne Supergenius writes the old fashioned kind of song. The big hook, the unforgettable melody, the crafted solo that many who have been sucked into the dreary world of the image conscious have missed. Or to quote Peter Bothum of Rockpile magazine: "With such a true-blue batch of solid rock songs, timing is irrelevant."

Jerry Joseph (solo)

Jerry Joseph - Jerry Joseph & The Jackmormons integrate excitement and expressiveness, thoughtfulness and thrust, poetry and pure power. The varying material from Mouthful of Copper ranges from: the hard driving and deep lyrical content of "The Jump", the radio friendly "I Know There's a Darkness", the Americana soundscape of "Thistle", the bouncy reggae of "Electra Glide in Blue" (incidentally, written before Robert Blake was arrested), the punk rock aggressiveness of "Bright Young Thing", the towering ferocity of "Climb to Safety" where Joseph recounts the facets of heroin addiction, the tender "Tanker" where the singer compares a fading love to a Japanese tanker sinking, the fury and passion of "Soda Man", the sensitive pop of "She's Going Out" that explodes into a bombastic guitar exploration, to the classic rock epic of "Savage Garden", and "Hallelujah Trail", the beautiful set closer.

Case 150 - CASE 150 is a motley ensemble of five well seasoned musicians. With musical backgrounds that have touched on everything from Classical to Jazz, Cowboy to Punk, and New Wave to Art Rock . The band has its roots firmly planted in the rock of Rock 'n Roll and it's heart & soul is filled with the pure sprit of our founding forefathers ( Jimmy Rogers, Hank Williams, Lefty Frizzel, Merle Haggard, Gram Parsons, Neil Young, est.,) You throw all that in a blender with some twanging guitars, some mandolin, banjo and a sick & twisted steel guitar. You give it a solid back beat and cover it with a few layers of vocal harmonies. My friend, you have CASE 150.

Maria Forgotten

Once Romanced

Maria Forgotten - From their inception in 2002 as an acoustic rock duo to the current incarnation, Maria Forgotten has turned heads all along the road. Soaring vocals and effortless guitar work layer smoothly over solid rhythms and punching bass lines. Without being too cliche, the songs of Maria Forgotten stike a chord with their listeners. "We write what we know," says vocalist Ryan Gottshall. "We just want to be honest about what we have, and are, going through in our lives." Guitarist Andrew Shank: "It's about anger and resentment, desire and happiness. It's about everything everyone goes through."
Once Romanced - Once romanced has everything you want to hear. They've concentrated on making music that people will enjoy listening to, just as much as they love to play it. Heavily influenced by the likes of radiohead, death cab and Bjork, Once Romanced has been turning heads. They are currently completing their 2006 demo which will be available for everyone soon. Lotus Blue

Espenshade

Colab

Lotus Blue - Lotus Blue is a rock quartet from deep in the heart of central Pennsylvania. While being compared to Jimmy Eat World, Chevelle and Filter, each member has an individual style that adds to a new original creation of rock madness. All members have been performing for years in various other bands (Mad Revere, Reno Fontaine, Rats from the Bay) and have finally joined forces to form the culmination of everything that rocks, known as Lotus Blue. Experience true blue.
Espenshade - we are just 3 normal guys that want to play the type of music that we've been looking for but just can't seem to find. we'll rock you silly on one song then lull you to sleep with the next. we basically set out to keep ourselves entertained and we just ended up entertaining others as well. some people say we sound like braid and mock orange you can judge for yourself.
Colab - Hailing from southern Pennsylvania, the members of Colab united in 2004 to work on a collaborative recording project which produced the 'Leave Logic' EP as a solo project for lead singer Josh Fidler. Bass player Aaron Baker and drummer Joe Mason had played with the well known group Viewfinder, while Dan Gallagher brought significant guitar experience from the equally as popular, Miss Lonelyheart. Colab is currently writing and recording music for the full length CD which will be released in mid 2006. Colab has created a unique sound by blending a range of musical genres, tending to walk a line between Pop and Indie Rock, but still rooted in Rock and Roll with hints of Alt-country. The group introduces a pop sensibility with its catchy melodies, yet surpasses mainstream expectations with meaningful lyrics and a true depth of sound. Colab's memorable music and excellent performance history at local venues has its ever growing fan base eagerly awaiting the upcoming CD release.

Darcie Miner - New CD release (Fragile). Influential Philadelphia station WXPN named Darcie one of its Artists to Watch. Darcie and her band made history by performing on MTV’s Advance Warning as the first unsigned act ever to play in prime-time on the channel. Darcie also made an appearance on the new Star Search, hosted by Arsenio Hall, where she finished second in a controversial decision. The Darcie Miner Band logged in a hectic touring schedule which saw them build a strong regional following along the Atlantic seaboard, opening for the likes of Edwin McCain, Patty Griffin, Heart, Richard Thompson, Jeffrey Gaines, Wyclef Jean, Beth Hart and Jeffrey Gaines. The delightful Darcie is a Gullifty's favorite.

Lotus Blue

The Underwater - Hailing from York, Pennsylvania, the Underwater have been on a quick rise since their inception in late 2001. After a successful tour in 2002 with hardcore legends, ZAO, Unearth, Underoath, and Dead Poetic the band entered the studio to record their debut album entitled Bleed Me Blue (EP). The album was released nationally on Tribunal Records in early 2003, and then was later released in Europe on Lifeforce/Impression music in the late summer of 2003. In less than a year's time the release had sold in excess of 6,000 copies, giving the Underwater the opportunity to land supporting gigs with Nickelback, Supergrass, Seether, and The Fire Theft to name a few. The band completed several European headlining tours, during which they received massive support from fans as well as the media. The single "To Find You" received heavy rotation on many European radio stations, and even charted top 25 on stations in Switzerland and Austria. In 2004 the band had a chance to work with famed producer David Bendeth (Hawthorne Heights, Imarobot, Breaking Benjamin). During that session they managed to finish the tracks "Fallen One" and "Everyone" with the latter being used as opening track in the upcoming film "Push". 2005 was the year that the band found themselves free from contractual obligations thus they released their second ep in 2 years entitled "Lungs".

The new album, Parade , was produced by Jeff Feltenberger (x- Badlees) and is available now.
Trespassengers - Drawing on such diverse influences as The Who, Neil Young, and Camper Van Beethoven. Trespassengers combine a modern sonic texture with song writing generally associated with the singer-songwriter format. Ned’s fiddle adds an element that is both classic – and refreshing in contrast with much of today’s alternative rock. Combining aspects of modern and classic, Trespassengers music is appealing to younger audiences fed up with pop-punk searching for something to identify with intellectually, and also older audiences who have listened to the same classic rock albums for years and want something different. Trespassengers fit in an emerging genre of music that includes bands such as Wilco, My Morning Jacket and Son Volt. Some critics have compared our music to The Eagles, The Jayhawks, and Neil Young. Music that isn't brazen, or over the top in anyway. Just a few chords strung together that stick in your head, the kind you find yourself whistling days later.

Spinebelt

Cyphilis

From Dissension - The bands do-it-yourself attitude and bludgeoning live performance has lead to a solid fan base. You can catch the band tearing it up at clubs and bars across the state. From Dissension combines sheer brutality with hints of melody which equates to a sound that is sure to leave a lasting impression. Crushing riffs laced with dark lyrics are sure to turn heads.
Spinebelt - Pennsylvania Loud Rockers Spinebelt formed in June 1997 with one common goal: Create pure original music on their own terms while disregarding current trends. Bill Atkinson (Bass/Vocals), Josh Warsteiner (Keyboards/Samples/Vocals), John K. (Drums/Percussion), and Butch Lloyd (Guitars/Lead Vocals) are the four musicians who make up this musical powerhouse that combines elements of metal, hard-core, goth, and punk - in addition to the non-traditional influences of classic hard rock and post-punk new wave. The band has created an entity uniquely their own from many different genres of music that has inspired and influenced them while maintaining one very important factor: Spinebelt sounds like no other band.
Cyphilis - Heavy riff-laden Metal. To pigeonhole us within the realm of known entities: Pantera fused with Clutch and Prong with a touch of Hatebreed and SOAD to add some color... but listen to us and decide for yourselves!
