The Kick Me's
|
|
Condition K
- Central Pa's modern rock foursome, Condition K, provide a brilliant
combination of contemplative lyrics, captivating vocals and unmatched
musicianship. Founded in 2003, Condition K was assembled by members
of some of Pennsylvania's most influential bands (Julian Fist, 3Star,
Stereo Logic). The band made an immediate impact and quickly became
a force in today's Mid-Atlantic rock scene. The band's main influences
range from classic rock bands such as The Doors and Led Zeppelin to
the modern rock sounds of bands such as Stone Temple Pilots and Fuel.
The Kick Me's
- The Kick Me's were born in December of 2003 after Justine
(Astraphobia, BCFF) and Leah convinced Eleny to be their singer.
Tara (The Blahs) came to the first practice and picked up a
guitar. By the end of the night, she was recruited
into the band as well. After 2 months of practicing,
their first two shows were set up by Mike Powers of
Roundtable Presents and Jim Lott. Currently the band
is working on recording a 4 song demo and setting up
as many shows in the area as possible. "Indierock, Riotgrrl, Electroclash. Very different from anything
else around Harrisburg. Very hooky, yet very sonically interesting.
Catch this or one of their earliest shows (they're still a bit raw
live - these are shows 5 and 6) before they hit the road,
playing cool shows in big cities, and get signed to a cool
indie label - which is the likely outcome. Tara is a real talent, and
they're all supercool." Jim Lott - PA Rocks

Fith
|

Herbie
|

Blue Corduroy
|
Fith
- Formed in June of 2002, fith has been packing venues
on both Harrisburg’s East and West shores, playing Modern
rock original and cover material since their August debut
as a headline act. The response has been so great that Elephant & Castle Pub,
Holiday Inn New Cumberland, used the band’s single Sun2Set for its late October 2003
radio advertising on 93.5 FM WTPA and guitarist Rob for the voice over.
With a massive and loyal following, the band looks to make a huge
splash throughout Central Pa and beyond in 2004.
Herbie
- herbie, known for its magical blend of high-energy rock, uptown funk,
infectious jams, and heart pounding hip-hop beats, formed in the
fall of 2000. The music of herbie is catchy enough to sing along
with, groovy enough to dance to, diverse enough to please even
the most demanding music fan, and offers a truly unique balance
of melody, accessibility, and musicality.

and rock this band keeps you on the edge of your ears.
Influences such as Medeski, Martin, and Wood, The Red Hot
Chili Peppers, Portishead, Susanne Vega, Radiohead, and
PJ Harvey make for an interesting blend of styles and textures.

the acoustic duo to the four piece band Love Stomp. Love Stomp features one of
Harrisburg's best kept secrets, Amy on lead vocal. With her incredible voice
and exciting stage presence she is something you will want to check out.
Backing Amy is a band of three exceptional musicians who have played in the
local area in numerous bands. Love Stomp will be also working on orginal material
in the near future. Mix it all together and you have something that is special and
something we call Love Stomp.

Condition K

The Parallax Project
|
|
Parallax Project
- The nucleus of Parallax Project is Michael Giblin.
If you're into obscure independent pop music, then you
may have heard of him, but probably not. As a bassist,
he's played on a bunch of albums for a number of "should have been famous"
bands and artists, including Cherry Twister, Steve Ward, and Jeffrey Gaines.
Parallax Project is, however, a horse of a different color.
The music itself is eclectic, yet rooted in the melodic, arrangement -driven pop
that has helped make so many worthy artists nearly famous.
The record's musical styles move from Who-like blasts of mod-pop,
through the intricate jangle of a Byrdsian 12-string, all the way
to the pastoral roots-pop of The Band. Sprinkled throughout
are delicate harmonies and keen observations on lives that
are colliding, expanding, and falling apart, with the unifying
elements being Michael's inviting voice and his distinctive
perspective as a songwriter.
Quality power-pop in the vein of Cherry Twister.
Parallax Project plays IPO frequently.

The Luv Gods

Shea is a Gullifty's favorite. Most Luv Gods shows here are packed.
Mostly 80's covers.

Wayne Supergenius
|

Steve Reso
|
|
Wayne Supergenius
- Wayne Supergenius writes the old fashioned kind of song.
The big hook, the unforgettable melody, the crafted solo
that many who have been sucked into the dreary world of
the image conscious have missed. Or to quote Peter Bothum
of Rockpile magazine: "With such a true-blue batch of solid
rock songs, timing is irrelevant."
Steve Reso
- Honing his skills as a member of several notable
90’s bands such as Underground Cartoons,
Reso paid his dues in every smoky, dark club from New Orleans to Dover to NYC.
Along the way he developed a sound and style all his own
and in the mid 90’s decided to seize the solo spotlight.
After a deal with one label fell through, his demo tape
landed in the hands of Indian, president of Gig Records.
In 2002, the critically acclaimed "Ordinary Life" was released
and quickly became a radio standard on the Central PA airwaves.
The buzz surrounding the disc soon made its way to the studios
of MTV who are currently spinning tracks from "Ordinary Life"
on their Real World/Road Rules Challenge Series.
The band had the honor of opening for Better Than Ezra recently
at the Bottle & Cork in Dewey Beach and have shared the stage
with such bands as Fuel, Live, Gene Loves Jezebel and Solution AD.

The Drive Home
- Explosive Original Rock Music - well versed in the contemporary emo
style of things. Talented, with great hooks, this Messiah college
based band can draw quite a crowd. Perhaps soon
to graduate to headliner status.

The Clarks
|

Sweet Pea Felty
|
|
The Clarks
- The Clarks are an unprecedented rock phenomenon in their hometown of
Pittsburgh, where the rock 'n' roll quartet regularly performs for
crowds of 8,000 or more and where their last record outsold many of
today's biggest music acts. With five studio albums and countless
live performances to their credit, The Clarks share the kind of
musical shorthand only a band of near-brothers can know. Their
top-notch musicianship and songwriting are clearly evident on
their new CD, Another Happy Ending, the band's second for Razor & Tie.
Sweet Pea Felty
- From Harrisburg, PA, Sweet Pea Felty is on a mission to bring back
the fun and excitement in music. Let the kids have their fluff.
This band plays real rock music for grown-ups. Straight ahead, hard driving,
rootsy, bluesy, rock and roll.
Mr. Sweet Pea himself, aka Jeff Feltenberger, is a skilled musician and performer
who has spent a great deal of time recording and touring nationwide.
Much of his experience was gained as guitarist, vocalist, songwriter
and co-producer with The Badlees, a band that at the height of
their popularity scored two top 5 national rock radio tracks.
Jeff’s association with The Badlees ended in March 2004.

The Underwater
|

The Skyline Drive
|
|
The Underwater
- Absolutely fantastic band from York, PA. This is their 2nd show back from
a 2 month tour of Europe. Compared to Muse, The Juliana Theory, Placebo, Cave-In,
Foo Fighters, Filter, Hoobastank, Thrice. Emotional, melodic guitar rock.
"THE UNDERWATER could easily become one of rock's
brightest stars as "Bleed Me Blue" contains some exceptional moments." Smother.net
Yup, they could be huge, massive. Catch em here while you still can. Much of 2004 will be
tours, more US, and more Europe. US tour in April.
The Skyline Drive
In a scene full of watered down hard rock and corporate punk rock aimed solely at
14 year old girls, comes something new. Something hard enough to satisfy your
"heavy" appetite. Catchy enough to make the most apathetic
listener sing along. And straight up kicking enough to make your
grandmother rock the F*CK out.
Officially formed in mid 2003, The Skyline Drive consists of an all-star
line up from multiple genres of music. Dave Lord formerly of Warner Bros.
recording artists TIDEWATER GRAIN and Hans Schloesser of Triple Crown recording
artists MUSHMOUTH later renamed OUT TO WIN decided to leave their
previous bands to try their hands in something different.
The Skyline Drive then recruited drummer extraordinaire
Jared Piccone from "emo" moguls THIRTEEN OVER EIGHT (as well as the
fantastic D'AREY OCTOBER) and bassist Justin AKA Judd from hardcore
heavy weights DYSPHORIA.
The Midnight Drive
Complex Emo-core, similar to Glassjaw, The Midnight Drive features
Aaron, Leo and Dan of Sceva, and Brad of Deviation Theory. This is their
first show, and wise, insightful local geniuses who have seen them
play in their basement say they're quite good. Looks like they'll be touring
with The Underwater for part of The Underwater's upcoming US tour.
