Espenshade

Bo Bim - An amazing new indie/rock/garage band. They site The Ramones, Dandy Warhols, Queens of the Stone Age, John Frusciante, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Sleater-Kinney, Bob Dylan, Weezer, The Beatles, Iggy Pop and the Stooges, The Pixies, Television, Tears for Fears, Refused as influences. I hear a little Mudhoney, a little Velvet Monkeys / Don Fleming vocals in one of the songs. Really great stuff, THIS IS THEIR FIRST SHOW.
Espenshade - we are just 3 normal guys that want to play the type of music that we've been looking for but just can't seem to find. we'll rock you silly on one song then lull you to sleep with the next. we basically set out to keep ourselves entertained and we just ended up entertaining others as well. some people say we sound like braid and mock orange you can judge for yourself.

Espensade's been playing indie rock in the Hbg area for a while, and have gotten popular in the all ages scene around here, playing The Why're a lot back in the day and Champion Ship these days.

Friday, February 4 - Jam

RedRoom

Condition K - Central Pa's modern rock foursome, Condition K, provide a brilliant combination of contemplative lyrics, captivating vocals and unmatched musicianship. Founded in 2003, Condition K was assembled by members of some of Pennsylvania's most influential bands (Julian Fist, 3Star, Stereo Logic). The band made an immediate impact and quickly became a force in today's Mid-Atlantic rock scene. The band's main influences range from classic rock bands such as The Doors and Led Zeppelin to the modern rock sounds of bands such as Stone Temple Pilots and Fuel.
Plunge - In 2002 Vocalist / Guitarist Mike Ruocco was asked to join RCA Gold Recording Artists SR-71, whom the band had shared the stage with years earlier. While touring with SR-71 , Plunge recieved an offer from European based label Atenzia Records. After completing their first full-length record, Plunge is anxious to release the record in Europe and looks forward to a United States release in the coming months. Sounds like Sugarcult meets Butch Walker meets the Goo Goo Dolls.
RedRoom - Red Room is a rock band that is made up of four dedicated and talented musicians from Mechanicsburg, PA. Their energetic, diverse, original music always leaves audiences wanting more. They are definitely a must see. Buds with the delightful Darcie Miner.

Grant Wilson

Hierosonic - Hierosonic is an ambient/industrial hybrid rock band with sounds reminiscent of natural worldly sound and gritty mechanical drones mixed with off-beat rhythms. After Hierosonic has fine tuned their sound since getting a new guitarist, more into the Janes Addiction and Primus category. The demented circus feel mixed with a bit of sexual energy. Played Lollapalooza 2003 in Seattle, WA.

They have a real good schedule for the 1st 4 months of 2005. In addition to the local shows, they're playing The Silo (Reading), The Crowbar (State College), CBGS's (NYC), Grape Street Pub (Philly), Jaxx (DC Burbs), 2 in Ohio and 2 in Connecticut, among others.

Grant Wilson - Lewistown, PA based - Acoustic / Folk Rock / Folk. Bio - "i'm grant.. and i write some songs on my guitar that you might enjoy listening to.. they might make you start tapping your foot.. and you might even start to bob your head to them.. i guess.." - Good indie acoustic voice and good vocal melodies.

The Green Onions
Martini Bros - The Martini Bros. have been pounding out their charismatic breed of roots driven Rock 'N Roll, Rockabilly Mayhem, for over seven years. The trio's live performances are legendary in the mid-atlantic region.

One of Gullifty's very favorites.

The Green Onions - There is a fresh, yet somewhat familiar sound soaring through the cow-filled pastures of Lancaster County. It is the sound of The Green Onions. In these times of flashy musicians, gimmick-based songwriting, and the all too common, "I hate my life," rock bands, The Green Onions are offering an alternative. This band wants to create music for the sake of creating music. Be prepared for hard rocking guitar solos, sturdy song sections, and free-flowing jams.

Aliens and Strangers

Dead 50s - "The Dead 50's is an original punk rock ensemble from central Pennsylvania who is not out to win a Grammy, rather to have a good time and influence the young adult audience to do the same and appreciate who they are while still being aware of the issues surrounding them. The fans keep the Dead 50's coming back, not some insincere intention like making a million dollars for getting up on stage and drinking cheap beer. They have fame without being plastered across the pop charts, which is obvious when you witness an army of kids circling the room and shouting along with the band accompanied by the more hesitant fans inching closer to the stage while rocking their heads to the music. The Dead 50's keep coming back to Reading and the fans keep championing their music because it comes down to one simple fact-you don't memorize the songs of a band you don't love." Anne Hunsicker-The Keystone News
Planeside - Planeside, was born from the smoldering ashes of Joni's Butterfly. Their music embodies influences from many genres, and the live show will slap you in the face like a freight train conductor on acid. Planeside has played venues all over the east coast & mid-west, sharing the bill with the likes of GANDHI (Page Hamilton of HELMET), Burning Brides, the Strokes, the Used, Sense Field, and Riddlin' Kids. They have released a self-titled CD, a split 7", and the full length "For Motion Discomfort". Appearing on several compilations (including MAGNET magazine), their music has found it way onto over 30,000 CD's! Planeside has recieved airplay on commercial & college radio, and continue to build a strong following.
