Brittney Elizabeth
- Many a dream may be laying dormant in waiting, but for Brittney Elizabeth, being
a recording artist on the brink of stardom is not one of them. The 20-year-old
singer/songwriter is poised to take the music world’s breath away with her debut
album, Breath In, a heartfelt collection of tunes documenting a young woman’s
introspective look back on the heartbreaking journey of first love. It’s a
well-worn path covered in song, though rarely with the purity of voice and
confidence of an artist confessing she’s still not ready to exhale.

Monacle

|
|
Monacle
- What started as a summer project in april of 2007, Monacle is the illegitimate
brainchild of Edwin Tichenor and Jon Robinson. Edwin, who started out playing at
Elizabethtown College in small acoustic settings, plays guitar, and writes most of the
songs for the band. Jon got his start playing drums at a young age, then picked up
guitar joining his dad shortly after and now also writes many of the songs we use.
Newly added Cool B Dell on bass completes this 3 man power trio and has brought the
sound to where it needs to be. Live shows are always upbeat, and full of flavor.
We are constantly writing new material, easy to do when you are couped up as roomates
since the project got its start. Be on the lookout for this up and coming band, who
are no stranger to the Harrisburg music scene. With places like the Tom Sawyer Diner,
Fisaga's, Molly Brannigan's, McGrath's, Privado, Gullifty's and Ceolta's under their
belts, there has been nothing but positve remarks on the band's unique sound. This with
surely be a group you wont wanna miss out in being a part of. So optimistically speaking,
lets all get this show on the road! Cheers!

Will Houck
- Lotus Blue is a rock quartet from deep in the heart of central Pennsylvania. While being
compared to Jimmy Eat World, Chevelle and Filter, each member has an individual style
that adds to a new original creation of rock madness. All members have been performing
for years in various other bands (Mad Revere, Reno Fontaine, Rats from the Bay) and have
finally joined forces to form the culmination of everything that rocks, known as Lotus Blue.
Experience true blue.
The Thrives
- The Thrives can best be described as an indy-power-pop trio clearly influenced by
the music of the 80’s and 90’s. The three members, David Kemper, John Bolling and Brad Stackpole
started playing together back in 1995 in a band only slightly known in the Harrisburg area called
Lunarshade. After a few years of other projects or lack there-of, they have become musically
reacquainted. Kemper as singer, song writer and rythm guitar player understands the power of a
pithy word simply attached to a catchy melody. His visual descriptions of love and relationship
are earthy, sensual, unique and somehow universal. Listen for the dynamic juxtoposition between
sweet melodies wrapped around yearning lyrics and breakthrough declarations of tongue-in-cheek-angst-ridden-imperfection.
John Bolling's relaxed and consistent bass playing is backed up by years of listening to the great bands from across the pond.
Fans have learned to watch for his sheepish smile as he gets wrapped up in the joy of performing. Finally, there is the famous
Brad Stackpole on drums. He has sat in with quite a few local groups from Deviation Theory to his recent project with
A Utopian Skyline (formerly The Midnight Drive), along with his valued participation with The Thrives.
Brad’s influences are the most diverse of the group. He is more than accomplished at playing Latin, Jazz,
Rock and Metal in addition to other styles.

The Illuminati
|
Grandview
- The Grandview sound is a combination of styles that have influenced its members over the years;
from the punk rock beginnings shared by some members, to the rock and acoustic backgrounds of others.
They are making music that has integrity and substance, and is accessible to anyone who is willing to listen.
Grandview has shared the stage with many big names such as The Click Five, Big City Rock, The Juliana Theory,
and Mae.
SafeJacket
- The stage is set for a revolution in rock, and it comes by way of the 5 members of SafeJacket.
Hailing from Pennsylvania, this group of musicians made up of John Romac, Michael Reilly, Matt Cannan,
Nick Chilenski and Dill have produced an explosive style that's unlike anything heard before.
With roaring guitars, thought-provoking lyrics and melodic choruses, SafeJacket
provides a range of unique material you can't help but sing along to.
The Illuminati
- Central PA rock group THE ILLUMINATI, is disintegrating the framework of modern music
with their unique collage of sonic intensity. The genre-shattering band's eclectic mix of
rock, blues, punk, funk, psychedelia, alternative, jazz, country, emo, metal, and more truly
transcends the boundaries of modern rock classification. The band manages to steal influence
equally from artists as diverse as Pink Floyd, Depeche Mode, Cake, The Clash, U2, Hendrix,
Parliament, the Doors, the Cure, Tool, Marley, The Dead, Billie Holiday, the Talking Heads,
Coldplay, and many others while still maintaining their unprecedented, signature sound.
Serving the Industry
- Hard hitting, memorable modern rock covers and original music is what Serving the Industry is all about.
If melodic vocals over driving guitar, bass, and drums is your type of music then Serving the Industry is
your type of band. Experience, energy & heartfelt stage performances allow Serving the Industry to live
up to its name. Give the crowd what it wants… a great show!

- Mission Statement:
Peace from the pen of the lyrical miracle, Troy walsh.
Ill get right to the point.
Welcome to Suburban Sprawl, one of the newest realities of American black hole capitalism. All around is the smell of newly emptied shopping centers and more new neighbors. All is ultra next-generation, new-classic, fire-retardent, high-scale.
Well here at Burblife, we believe that within and underneath this great residential overdevelopment that lurks on and around every corner lies a great fundamental wrong, a serious lameness, a basic violation of things that do and do not suck.
In fact, thats what a lot of this music is about: Suburban Sprawl and its effects, so pay attention before they build you into a corner. You have been warned.

Michael McDermott
|

Eileen Rose
|
|
Michael McDermott
- Noise From Words, the new album from singer/songwriter Michael McDermott, is a candid song cycle
of addiction and redemption—or more accurately, the struggle for redemption. The Chicago-based artist
holds nothing back on this boldly autobiographical work, motivated by the same impulse that led him to
the lecture circuit, where he speaks to troubled individuals who are battling the same demons McDermott
has at long last managed to subdue—though he would assert that this battle is never over. “I do it not
because I’m ‘fixed’ or healed,” he says of this impulse to lend a helping hand, “but because I’m broken.”
The album (Aug. 28, One Little Indian), primarily performed live in the studio using sparse instrumentation—at
times paring things down to just his vocal and acoustic guitar—captures McDermott at his most intimate and most
searingly honest, duplicating the cathartic experience of his solo live performances. “It’s fun to have your buds
onstage and jump around in front of a band,” he says. “But when it comes down to the solo stuff, it’s very naked
and much more difficult to pull off on an emotional level. After a solo set, I’m just drained, not because I’ve
been jumping around, but because I’ve just turned myself inside out.” It’s precisely this acute degree of
psychological self-exposure that makes Noise From Words so powerful. McDermott retraces the path that
led him to the very brink of the abyss and back again on such unforgettable songs as “Long Way From Heaven,”
“My Father’s Son,” “Broken,” “Just a Little Blue” and “I Shall Be Healed.” These understated but urgent songs
form the chapters in a sort of aural autobiography whose thematic range also encompasses relationships
(“Still Ain’t Over You Yet,” “A Kind of Love Song,” “Tread Lightly,” “No Words,” “All My Love”) and
belonging (“The American in Me”), forming a comprehensive view of contemporary existence at its extremes.
Eileen Rose
- "The arrival of a forceful talent whose day will surely come." - MOJO
"Makes you want to roar down the highway with the windows open and a finger on the repeat button." - ROLLING STONE
"Turns out that Rose can write as well as rock, a talent that's evident throughout this passionate song cycle." - THE WASHINGTON POST
"Her passionate deliver and bluesy, stripped-down sound recalled Dylan in his protest days...Stunning" - THE TIMES, LONDON
"Shes a woman hot-wired to her muse and she knows exactly where her considerable talent is taking her." - UNCUT
"Boston's Eileen Rose has recorded an exceptional album that deserves to make her huge...as much bite as PJ Harvey" - BLOOMBERG
"Dirty, drawling interpretations of the country she loves. Its Nashville with attitude for the 21st century. Not Sheryl Crow, in other words." - NME

Turning Point
|

Lucid
|
Adrian Blitzer
- In 1999, Adrian Blitzer started out as a "garage band", but after years of hard work, hundreds of shows,
and a few lineup changes, blossomed into being a major player in the Central PA music scene. The current line-up
includes Andy Smith - lead vocals... Don Price - guitarist and backing vocals... Jeremy Kline - percussion and sampling,
and Brian Troup on Bass and backing vocals. Currently, the band has 2 full length albums under their belts, and hundreds
of venues played in the Central PA area. Adrian Blitzer offers a broad range of material to fit different venues, from
the heavier side of things, to the current radio oriented hard rock / alternative music. The live shows consist of a
strong athletic performance, excellent stage presence, vocal harmonies, and a level of professionalism that alot of bands
in the Central PA area lack. Come out and catch one of our shows for an experience you won't soon forget!
Turning Point
- Brandon, Kenny, Dave and Bob are from York, PA. They were in several bands before forming the distinctive
sound of Turning Point. These four individuals share one goal of climbing to the top of the music industry.
They are influenced by bands such as Guns 'N Roses, Metallica, Goo Goo Dolls, Velvet Revolver and Sound Garden.
Lucid
- From Central Pennsylvania, Lucid is a modern-rock, alternative band, looking to awe with an eclectic mixture of male,
female vocals, and chilling harmonies. Add the years of instrumental experience, and you've got yourself the next big thing.
This band formed in 2006 through several different connections, and decided right off the bat they wanted to change things
up in the local music scene. They are not your everyday "coverband", not your average "girl fronted band", and while still
throwing in a few of your favorites, bring a new and diverse set list to the bar scene. Past experience in bands such as
Psyfon, Munch, Afflicted, Vicious Cycle and Venus Unveiled, brought these five members together to form Lucid. Focusing
on giving you a good show, and having a good time themselves, Lucid still keeps the professionalism and talent to stay
unforgettable and keep you wanting more.
