Evelyn's Ashes

Sakred Realm - Sakred Realm's original material can be described as modern rock, nu-metal with melodic vocals and guitar riffs. Our goals are to take this as far as we can and have as much fun as we possibly can doing it. We also cover artists such as Chevelle, Hoobastank, Alter Bridge, Nickelback, and Fuel to name a few.
Evelyn's Ashes - The members of Evelyn’s Ashes have been playing music since their teen years in many different bands, but it wasn’t until early in 2006 that all five came together. Similar ideas and musical interests made it apparent that this was only the beginning. With an aggressive yet melodic sound, EA has fans listening and wanting to hear more. And that’s exactly what they’re going to get.

Soft Complex

Parallax Project - he nucleus of Parallax Project is Michael Giblin. If you're into obscure independent pop music, then you may have heard of him, but probably not. As a bassist, he's played on a bunch of albums for a number of "should have been famous" bands and artists, including Cherry Twister, Steve Ward, and Jeffrey Gaines. Parallax Project is, however, a horse of a different color. The music itself is eclectic, yet rooted in the melodic, arrangement -driven pop that has helped make so many worthy artists nearly famous. The record's musical styles move from Who-like blasts of mod-pop, through the intricate jangle of a Byrdsian 12-string, all the way to the pastoral roots-pop of The Band. Sprinkled throughout are delicate harmonies and keen observations on lives that are colliding, expanding, and falling apart, with the unifying elements being Michael's inviting voice and his distinctive perspective as a songwriter. Quality power-pop in the vein of Cherry Twister. Parallax Project plays IPO frequently.
The April Skies - The April Skies are a modern rock/alternative band from Hershey, Pennsylvania. Formed in the late eighties by a nineteen year old named Jake Crawford, along with Matt Brace (keyboards), Mike Green (bass), and John Ritchey (drums), the band immediately gained comparisons to bands like REM, The Cure, & local favorites The Ocean Blue. In early 2002, Jake Crawford and new bass player Mark Mazick reformed the band. After several months, they tracked down Mark Higgins, who promptly resumed his role on keyboards & guitars. Mark Tritico, who played with the band throughout the early/mid nineties, returned to the band as the drummer in August of 2003.
The Thrives - The Thrives can best be described as an indy-power-pop trio clearly influenced by the music of the 80’s and 90’s. The three members, David Kemper, John Bolling and Brad Stackpole started playing together back in 1995 in a band only slightly known in the Harrisburg area called Lunarshade. After a few years of other projects or lack there-of, they have become musically reacquainted. Kemper as singer, song writer and rythm guitar player understands the power of a pithy word simply attached to a catchy melody. His visual descriptions of love and relationship are earthy, sensual, unique and somehow universal. Listen for the dynamic juxtoposition between sweet melodies wrapped around yearning lyrics and breakthrough declarations of tongue-in-cheek-angst-ridden-imperfection. John Bolling's relaxed and consistent bass playing is backed up by years of listening to the great bands from across the pond. Fans have learned to watch for his sheepish smile as he gets wrapped up in the joy of performing. Finally, there is the famous Brad Stackpole on drums. He has sat in with quite a few local groups from Deviation Theory to his recent project with A Utopian Skyline (formerly The Midnight Drive), along with his valued participation with The Thrives. Brad’s influences are the most diverse of the group. He is more than accomplished at playing Latin, Jazz, Rock and Metal in addition to other styles.
Soft Complex "Artist of the Day - Soft Complex are an assemblage of D.C.'s finest, drawing members from multiple members of the District scene...'Barcelona+' features three original songs, all of them seemingly learned at the velvet-clad knee of Uncle Morrissey. Fleshing out the record, though, are five remixes, and the Smiths vibe is pleasantly interrupted by Dntel-style bleeps and actual rapping...underscoring the fact that they don't simply hail from England on the Potomac. The lyrics go a bit beyond the hopeless romance of lovelorn Mancunians, too, as Soft Complex occupies a world where 'all the scenesters saw you fuck in the parking lot' ('Beat the Chill'). It's mope-rock, yes, but it's mope rock you can dance to." ~Jeffrey Parker, Spin.com, October 2006

Darcie Miner

Red Room - Red Room is a rock band that is made up of four dedicated and talented musicians from Mechanicsburg, PA. Their energetic, diverse, original music always leaves audiences wanting more. They are definitely a must see. This is their farewell show.
Darcie Miner - New CD release (Fragile). Influential Philadelphia station WXPN named Darcie one of its Artists to Watch. Darcie and her band made history by performing on MTV’s Advance Warning as the first unsigned act ever to play in prime-time on the channel. Darcie also made an appearance on the new Star Search, hosted by Arsenio Hall, where she finished second in a controversial decision. The Darcie Miner Band logged in a hectic touring schedule which saw them build a strong regional following along the Atlantic seaboard, opening for the likes of Edwin McCain, Patty Griffin, Heart, Richard Thompson, Jeffrey Gaines, Wyclef Jean, Beth Hart and Jeffrey Gaines. The delightful Darcie is a Gullifty's favorite.

Ledbetter Heights - LBH has been performing since 2003 and just released their debut album "The Light That Burns..." in September 2006. Their style is a unique blend of Rock, Soul, and Funk combined with passionate lyrics and immense musicianship. They pride themselves on their live performances, striving to make each one memorable for their audiences and themselves.
Brothers Unaware - Brothers Unaware, formerly named "Part of Time", consists of four friends. Leading the vocals and playing rhythm guitar is Jon Zimmerman. While Pat Curran rifles some nasty riffs on the lead guitar, his brother Matt Curran masters the drum kit and Jason Nicholl bangs it out on the bass. Brothers Unaware combines the power and presence of Pearl Jam with the instrumental innovation of Dispatch and a touch of Coldplay. The band debuted in late June 2006 and is currently working on its first demo CD that will be available later this month.

Lotus Blue

Condition K - Forming in 2003, the Harrisburg Pennsylvania quartet, Condition K, had an impressive two and half year run as a regional band opening for such national acts as Shinedown, Saliva, and in December of 2005 opening for Bon Jovi at the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia, Pa. Recently recruiting drummer Jeremy Hummel (formerly of Breaking Benjamin) and bass player Mick Lower (formerly of U.P.C.), Condition K continues to provide a brilliant combination of contemplative lyrics, captivating vocals and unmatched musicianship.
A Utopian Skyline - "A Utopian Skyline is freaking awesome. They’re a metal band for people who don’t like metal; a hardcore band for people who are scared of hardcore; and a prog-rock band for people who would rather drink toilet water than listen to Rush. They are proof that art, angst and amplification are not mutually exclusive concepts. ... Labeling A Utopian Skyline is kind of futile. The band skips around from math-rock rhythms to hardcore grooves to unapologetic metal riffage with such blinding speed that any label you slap on them - “prog-rock,” “emo,” “metal” - will only apply for about 30 seconds." Jeff Royer - Fly Magazine
Lotus Blue - Lotus Blue is a rock quartet from deep in the heart of central Pennsylvania. While being compared to Jimmy Eat World, Chevelle and Filter, each member has an individual style that adds to a new original creation of rock madness. All members have been performing for years in various other bands (Mad Revere, Reno Fontaine, Rats from the Bay) and have finally joined forces to form the culmination of everything that rocks, known as Lotus Blue. Experience true blue.

Lesser Being

From Dissension - - The bands do-it-yourself attitude and bludgeoning live performance has lead to a solid fan base. You can catch the band tearing it up at clubs and bars across the state. From Dissension combines sheer brutality with hints of melody which equates to a sound that is sure to leave a lasting impression. Crushing riffs laced with dark lyrics are sure to turn heads.
Ninetail - In a world where American Idols and cookie-cutter pop-rock bands rule the airwaves, its easy to overlook the recent resurgence of metal music. Despite the tireless efforts of bands like Chaimara, God Forbid, Killswitch Engage & many more, the fight to restore metal to its rightful place atop the music industry has been lacking a vital component... ENTER NINETAIL, THE NEXT BIG THING IN METAL! With a level of forcefulness and brutality that has yet to be experienced by the metal masses, Ninetail promises not only to join in the fight for metal supremacy, but more importantly to win the war!
Lesser Being - We love metal more than anything in the world, more than our jobs and pretty much anything else. This is the only thing we want to do with our lives, period. We practice like it's required for our sustenance. We pick at every detail until we're blue in the face. We talk about music all the time and spend most of our free time listening to music. In fact, we spend so much time involved with music, our girlfriends hate us now. If, on the off chance, we ever break up with our girlfriends, don't date us! You will just end up disappointed.
